Palestinian critically wounds Israeli in supermarket stabbing attack

A Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli man in a supermarket was captured alive in Yavneh.

A Palestinian terrorist seriously wounded a 42-year-old Israeli victim in a stabbing attack at a supermarket in the coastal town of Yavneh on Wednesday.

The victim is in serious condition after being stabbed numerous times in his upper body.

The terrorist was apprehended by a passerby and then turned over to the police.

Netanel Moyal, a volunteer EMT, explained that he was at work near the attack’s location when the United Hatzalah dispatch and command center alerted him to the incident.

“I rushed over to the scene and treated the individual suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. While I was treating him other volunteer EMT personnel joined me and he was taken by ambulance to Kaplan medical center in Rehovot,” Moyal said.

A number of people were also treated for shock following the incident.

The terrorist, a 19-year-old from Hebron, was taken for further questioning by security forces.

A similar attack occurred in Petah Tikvah last week.

Just two hours later, a Palestinian female was caught at the Gush Etzion Junction carrying a knife. She was disarmed without injury, and no Israelis were wounded in the incident.

The Gush Etzion Junction has been the site of multiple terrorist attacks.

This incident is the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks over the past two years, claiming the lives of 52 victims and wounding close to 700.
