Palestinian terrorists take advantage of Israeli goodwill to commit attacks

Several recent terrorist attacks were carried out by Palestinians who gained access to Israel by taking advantage of privileges given to them by Israel, the Shin Bet (Israel’s Security Agency) reports.

Two recent attacks in Jerusalem were carried out by Palestinians who were permitted to be in Jerusalem by the Arab Family Unification Law that enables a Palestinian to live in Israel if he is married to an Arab with Israeli citizenship.

The privileges “are based on humanitarian reasons” and enable the terrorists to enter Israel unhindered, the Shin Bet explained, and the fact that Palestinians are using this privilege to commit attacks has recently become more apparent.

The Shin Bet also pointed out that troubled individuals are heavily influenced by the prevalent violent atmosphere on the Palestinian street and are driven to commit terrorist attacks.

Fuad Tamimi, who recently committed an attack, was a known drug addict and thief, but had no prior ties to terrorism.

Similarly, Padwa Abu Teir, 50, who was shot dead while trying to stab police at the beginning of the month, was suffering from prolonged depression, it was revealed after the attack.

“Many recent terrorist attacks were committed following the vicious incitement which originates with the Palestinian Authority and the terror organization, which influences individuals with personal problems, pushing them to commit terror attacks,” the Shin Bet wrote in the report released on Wednesday.
