Palestinian terrorists committed two terrorist attacks in the span of minutes at the same junction near Hebron Monday morning, during which three IDF soldiers were lightly wounded.

In the first attack, two Palestinian terrorists arrived at the Elias junction outside Kiryat Arba in a van. Both terrorists, one armed with a handgun the other with an automatic pistol, exited the vehicle and opened fire on the soldiers securing the junction and civilians waiting for rides. The soldiers fired back and shot both terrorists.

A security guard at the entrance to Kiryat Arba heard the shooting and approached the site of the attack, and noticed that one of the wounded terrorists was trying to shoot at him. The security guard shot him dead.

One IDF soldier was lightly wounded from shrapnel.

Both terrorists died of their wounds.

About 15 minutes later, as security and medical forces were at the scene, another Palestinian terrorist attempted to ram the soldiers with his car. He hit two soldiers, lightly wounding them. He was shot and killed.

All three victims were taken to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

The site of the attack is a major route and is used by many Israelis for catching buses and hitchiking.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of more than six months, claiming the lives of 33 victims and wounding some 400.
