Rep. Taylor-Greene calls Gaza war ‘genocide,’ slams US aid

This is not Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene’s first accusation against Israel, as she previously claimed the Jewish state was guilty of war crimes.

A Republican congresswoman with a long history of antisemitic remarks has once again accused Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza, declaring that she will “not be silent” about American support for Israel’s military campaign against Hamas in the coastal enclave.

In a lengthy post on X, Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) attempted to draw parallels between Israel’s war against Hamas and a hypothetical scenario in which American civilians were targeted by a foreign entity.

“If America was being bombed day and night because of something horrific our government did, and many innocent Americans and American children were being killed and traumatically injured, and we begged for mercy, but the rest of the world said, ‘Americans voted for their government so they deserve it, their government is bad so all Americans are bad, therefore this is what they get and must be done…’ how would you feel?” Taylor-Greene wrote.

She claimed that “innocent people and children,” unaffiliated with Hamas, were being killed by the Israeli military. However, Taylor-Greene made no mention of Hamas’s strategy of embedding its operatives and weapons in schools, hospitals, and civilian neighborhoods — deliberately putting civilians at risk.

Nor did she acknowledge Israel’s repeated efforts to mitigate civilian casualties, including issuing evacuation warnings and urging residents to leave areas before airstrikes or military operations.

Taylor-Greene also argued that American taxpayers are funding Israel’s war, citing U.S. military support for the Jewish state.

“I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to pay for genocide in a foreign country against a foreign people for a foreign war that I had nothing to do with. And I will not be silent about it,” she wrote.

This is not the first time Taylor-Greene has accused Israel of committing war crimes.

“It’s the most truthful and easiest thing to say that Oct. 7 in Israel was horrific and all hostages must be returned, but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza,” Taylor-Greene wrote on X last month.
