Israel has vowed to prevent Hezbollah from obtaining game-changing weapons that could be used to seriously threaten the small Jewish state.

Israel’s Air Force (IAF) attacked a convoy carrying weapons for the Hezbollah terror organization in Syria on the border with Lebanon, Israel’s Channel 2 reported Tuesday.
According to the report, which quoted Arab media, the convoy was carrying radars and anti-aircraft systems destined for Lebanon.
There were no reports of casualties.
The Israeli military did not comment on the report, as has been its policy in the past when such reports have surfaced.
Hezbollah denied the report and said it was “fabricated.”
“Well-informed sources told Al-Manar that the media reports on an Israeli air raid on one of Hezbollah arms convoys in the town of Majdal Anjar, which lies near Lebanon’s eastern border with Syria, are fabricated,” the network, a Hezbollah affiliate, reported.
Hezbollah has denied such reports in the past, even ones that were later validated.
There have been several previous reports of IAF airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in Syria, primarily against weapons shipments. Many of the weapons shipments are financed by Iran.
Israel has repeatedly vowed to prevent Hezbollah from acquiring game-changing weaponry and has warned that any such attempts would be met with a strong Israeli response.
In April, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed for the first time that Israel has conducted several air strikes against Hezbollah targets in Syria, preventing the Lebanese terror group from obtaining advanced weapons.
Netanyahu expressed pride over Israel’s ability to maintain quiet on its borders. “We are proud of how in the entire stormy, raging and agitated Middle East, we have succeeded in maintaining relative quiet in the state of Israel and relative security.”
He told soldiers stationed on the border that “we act when we should act, including here, across the border, in dozens of attacks, to prevent Hezbollah from getting game-changing weaponry.”
He added that Israel was active against the Shiite organization on other fronts as well, “near and far.”
