On Wednesday night, the IDF issued a statement indicating that Palestinians fired a rocket from Gaza into Israel.

The Israeli military added, “This is the fifth rocket fired from Gaza in the last 6 days.”

On Saturday, terrorists in Gaza launched three rockets at Israel, with Israeli aerial defense batteries intercepting two of the missiles, the military announced.

Israeli media reported that shrapnel from the Iron Dome defense system landed on the patio of a house. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

That attack marked the second incident of rocket fire from Gaza within 24 hours.

Early on Saturday, Israeli aircraft hit two underground targets belonging to the Hamas terror group.

While a number of terror factions operate in Gaza, Israel holds Hamas responsible for all rocket attacks emanating from the coastal enclave.

In addition to rocket attacks, Hamas and its operatives have launched a sustained arson campaign during the past year and a half, using airborne incendiary devices attached to balloons, kites, and even a live falcon to torch thousands of acres of Israeli farmland and nature preserves.
