IDF forces were successful in thwarting yet another Palestinian stabbing attack.
A Palestinian terrorist was shot and moderately wounded on Thursday after he tried to stab IDF soldiers stationed at a security point near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
No Israelis were harmed in the incident.
The terrorist was evacuated in moderate and stable condition to an Israeli hospital.
The terrorist was initially thought to be carrying a toy gun and grenade, but the suspicion was later dispelled.
The terrorist, 25, is a resident of the city.
The site of the attack has been the scene of multiple Palestinian terror attacks in recent months.
This attack is the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis for more than a year, claiming the lives of 47 victims and wounding over 650.
In related news, Israeli security forces conducted counter-terror operations throughout Judea and Samaria on Wednesday night, during which they shut down a weapons production workshop next to the Palestinian village of Yatta, in the Hebron area. The forces confiscated equipment found at the site.
Israeli forces have been conducting a prolonged battle to stamp out the illegal Palestinian weapons-production industry.
Since the beginning of 2016, Israeli forces have shut down some 45 such plants in the Judea and Samaria region and seized over 50 machines and at least 450 weapons.
In addition, security forces detained 11 wanted Palestinians, some of them members of the Hamas terror organization.
