Trump says he will have anti-Israel NY mayoral candidate Mamdani arrested if he interferes with ICE

US President Donald Trump warned on social media that he would have socialist, anti-Israel mayoral candidate Zohan Mamdani arrested if he interferes with US Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE).

Speaking at the “Alligator Alcatraz” migrant detention center in Florida, Trump said that if Mamdani, who has criticized the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, “We’ll have to arrest him.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has spoken harshly about the mayoral candidate.

On his victory in the Democratic primary against former governor Andrew Cuomo, “It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the
line,” Trump stated. “Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist lunatic, has just won the Dem primary and is on his way to becoming mayor. We’ve had radical lefties before, but this is getting ridiculous.”

Many in the Jewish community in New York expressed dismay at the news of Mamdani’s victory, who has repeatedly refused to denounce the slogan ‘globalize the intifada ‘ in protests.

“He looks terrible, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC plus-3, dummies all backing him,” Trump said, referring to progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

In addition to issuing a stark warning if Mamdani interferes with ICE, Trump expressed his support for New York Mayor Eric Adams, who is campaigning for re-election against the incendiary NY Councilman.

Trump called him “A very good person. I helped him out a little bit,” Trump said, referring to the Department of Justice’s controversial move to dismiss Adams’ federal corruption case.

“He had a problem, and he was unfairly hurt over this question.

“That was a Biden indictment. I said, ‘Don’t feel bad. I got indicted five times.”

Trump and Adams both posited that Adams’ corruption accusations were politically motivated by those who opposed their immigration policies.
