‘Tucker Carlson is part of Qatari propaganda machine,’ says opposition leader

Sheikh Khalid Al Hail, who leads a London-based opposition group against the Qatari regime, has long accused Doha of funding influence operations in Western media and politics.

Sheikh Khalid Al Hail, the exiled leader of the Qatari National Democratic Party and a vocal critic of the Qatari royal family, has publicly accused Tucker Carlson of having financial interests with the government of Qatar.

In a video clip that went viral on X recently, Sheikh Khalid stated:

“Tucker Carlson is known for financial interests, without them, he doesn’t move. I 100% believe he has financial ties to the Qatari government… Tucker Carlson is basically part of the propaganda machine placed by the Qatari government.”

The accusation comes amid growing scrutiny of Carlson’s recent engagements with Qatar.

In December 2025, Carlson conducted a widely circulated interview with Qatar’s Prime Minister at the Doha Forum.

He later announced he was purchasing a home in Doha, Qatar, and publicly defended the decision.

Sheikh Khalid Al Hail, who leads a London-based opposition group against the Qatari regime, has long accused Doha of funding influence operations in Western media and politics.

He claims Carlson’s softer stance toward Qatar is explained by these alleged financial links.

Important context: This is an accusation from a Qatari dissident with a clear political motive to damage the ruling family’s image.

No public financial records, leaks, or independent verification have been presented to substantiate the claim at this time (besides his own bizarre behavior and pro-Qatari commentary).

Tucker Carlson has previously denied receiving any payments from Qatar.

The video has been widely shared across X by conservative, pro-Israel, and anti-Qatar accounts, fueling intense online debate.
