US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee proposes alternative peace plan, calling to deport Hamas and Hezbollah members from Lebanon and Gaza to terrorist “mothership” Iran.

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on Wednesday called for members of Hamas and Hezbollah to be expelled to Iran, arguing that such a move would remove Tehran-backed groups from Gaza and Lebanon as Washington presses ahead with diplomacy involving Iran.

Huckabee made the comment in a social media post responding to Iranian demands that Israel halt military operations along the Lebanese border and to ongoing discussions over a Gaza peace plan requiring Hamas to disarm.

“Iran demands Israel cease defense of border against Hezbollah. Gaza peace plan depends on Hamas disarming,” the ambassador wrote on his X account.

“Idea: EVERY member of Hezbollah & Hamas DEPORT to “Mothership” in Iran. Result? Lebanon & Israel free from Iran terror proxies. Give PEACE a chance!”

The post came amid renewed disputes over the Lebanon front after the United States and Iran moved forward with a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending hostilities and opening a 60-day negotiating period for a broader agreement.

The 14-point framework calls for an immediate halt to military operations across multiple fronts, including Lebanon, and includes provisions on the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions relief, Iranian oil exports, and further talks over Iran’s nuclear program.

The agreement has raised concern in Israel that Washington’s diplomatic track could restrict Israeli operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Israeli officials have said Israel is not bound by arrangements reached between the United States and Iran and will continue to act against threats from Hezbollah.

Iran has insisted that an end to the war requires Israel to withdraw from Lebanon and stop attacks there. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this week that the war would not be fully over without an Israeli withdrawal from territories occupied during the fighting.

On Tuesday, Huckabee wrote on his X account that Secretary of State Marco Rubio had clarified that the MoU hammered out with Iran would not limit Israel’s ability to defend itself against Hezbollah.

“Fortunately, Secretary Rubio made clear that Iran & Hezbollah aren’t linked in a deal. Israel doesn’t need Iran permission to defend itself. The tether of terror must end,” Huckabee wrote.
