Among the four Israelis killed Sunday in rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip was American-Israeli Pinchas Menachem Prezuazman, 21.
Hundreds attended his funeral in Jerusalem late Sunday night.
Prezuazman was killed Sunday evening in the port city of Ashdod during a massive barrage of over 40 rockets from Gazan terrorists on a number of southern Israeli localities. According to the Ynet news website, he had been walking in the street when the air-raid siren sounded. He ran for cover in a nearby building but was hit by shrapnel when he entered the stairwell.
Prezuazman is survived by his wife and a small child.
At the funeral, his father Haim Dov lamented: “I don’t understand why this is happening, but I am sure that you have fulfilled your purpose on this earth.”
Early Sunday morning, 58-year-old Moshe Agadi, a father of four, was fatally wounded when a rocket struck his home in Ashkelon when he had stepped out of the safe room.
Ziad al-Hamamda, 47, was killed later in the day in Ashkelon in a direct hit on a factory. He was rushed to Barzilai Medical Center but didn’t survive his wounds.
Moshe Feder, 68, died when an anti-tank guided missile slammed into the vehicle that he was driving some 20 miles from the Gaza border. He was engaged to be married.
A ceasefire understanding reportedly went into effect early Monday morning.
