Viral anti-Israel nurse toured Iran in 2025

Jennifer Koonings, who filmed herself harassing Israeli travelers in Times Square, attended a pro-regime media festival in Iran last summer.

A nurse practitioner who filmed herself harassing Israeli tourists in New York City — calling them “baby killers” — participated in a state-sponsored propaganda trip to Iran in July 2025, according to a New York Post report.

Jennifer Koonings, 35, went viral earlier in April after posting videos of herself confronting a group of Israeli men in Times Square. In the footage, Koonings launches into an unhinged tirade targeting the tourists while the men refuse to engage.

In the video, a bystander — a man working in Times Square dressed in a Spider-Man costume — is seen attempting to defuse the situation. He urges Koonings to leave the men alone, telling her she “doesn’t know anything” about them. Koonings responds with a string of expletives.

The clip, which was viewed and shared millions of times, drew the attention of her employer, a mental health services company, which later terminated her. Koonings shared her termination email publicly, responding with the message: “Free Palestine.”

A deep dive into Koonings’ TikTok account revealed that she not only promotes anti-Israel views but also parrots narratives pushed by the Iranian regime, including claims that the United States is an “evil country.”

In videos dated July 2025, Koonings is seen touring Iran while wearing a headscarf — mandatory for women in the country under threat of arrest or even murder by authorities.

She reportedly traveled to the Islamic Republic for the Sobh Festival, a government-sponsored event celebrating pro-Palestinian and pro-Iran content, which includes content creators on social media.

“Living in the United States, we’re constantly inundated with negative messaging and propaganda about places like Iran and how evil they are… I live in New York City, and the roads are terrible, we have potholes… we have crumbling bridges, crumbling infrastructure, no public services,” she is heard saying in the video, according to the Post report.

Despite claiming her criticism of Israel stems from concern over alleged human rights violations against Palestinians, Koonings has never spoken out about widespread abuses by the Iranian regime, including public executions of homosexuals and violent crackdowns on anti-government protesters.

This is not the first time Koonings has faced professional consequences over her social media activity. In a clip from December 2024, she claimed she had been fired from a previous position as a sexual assault forensic examiner after posting a video denying that Hamas perpetrated mass rapes against Israelis during the Oct. 7 massacre.
