Anti-Israel activist barred from entry into Israel

A new Israeli directive was used to deny entry to one of the organizers of a delegation involved in the delegitimization of Israel.

Raed Jarrar, Advocacy Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty International USA, was denied entry into Israel on Monday and was instead deported to Jordan because of his support for anti-Israel activities.

Jarrar landed at Ben Gurion Airport as a member of a group of Interfaith Peace-Builders (IFPB), an organization involved in the delegitimization of the Jewish state.

Jarrar , who identifies as a Palestinian, is involved in promoting an Amnesty International campaign calling on states to ban Israeli goods produced in Judea and Samaria.

Israel’s government recently established an inter-ministerial team tasked with tracking down and deporting anti-Israel activists who come to the Jewish State for the purpose of harming the country.

The team also works to prevent the future entry of operatives of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement.

Dozens of organizations, operating under various covers, operate in Israel to collect information that is related to the BDS movement and used against Israel. The activists and anarchists also arrive in Judea and Samaria and incite local Arabs to act violently against the IDF.

In this case, Israel acted on the new directive that denies entry to anti-Israel activists.

Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan, who authorized the action, stated that “anyone who acts against the state of Israel needs to understand that the reality has changed,” meaning that Israel is now fighting back.
