Candace Owens accuses Israel of ‘blackmailing’ Trump over Epstein files

Owens’ vilification of Israel comes after she alleged earlier this week that Mossad operatives, in coordination with French authorities, had been tasked with killing her.

Serial conspiracy theorist Candace Owens has triggered another firestorm after claiming that Israel is “blackmailing” President Donald Trump over the Jeffrey Epstein files.

After months of pressure, the House of Representatives voted 427–1 on Nov. 18 ordering the U.S. Justice Department to release every remaining federal record tied to the Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell investigations.

After the Senate approved the measure the next day, President Trump signed the bill into law, triggering a 30-day countdown for the DOJ to publish all files that are not part of an active criminal case and do not identify victims or contain graphic abuse material.

As she usually does, Owens posted a conspiracy theory on X claiming that the timing was part of a coordinated threat campaign by Israel.

“They are blackmailing President Donald Trump in broad daylight. The slow release of the emails is intentional. Now he will give them whatever they want,” she wrote.

“For those who struggle with context clues, THEY = Israel, who Jeffrey Epstein worked for.”

After parents reported that Epstein molested their 14-year-old daughter at his Palm Beach home in 2008, police found photos of girls scattered throughout the residence.

He pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor, becoming a registered sex offender while avoiding serious jail time through a controversial deal.

Eleven years later, authorities charged him with sex trafficking underage girls. While awaiting trial, he died in prison in what was ruled a suicide.

Despite multiple occasions placing Trump in Epstein’s social circle, Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing or intimate involvement, insisting the two fell out years before Epstein’s 2008 conviction.

The two investigations produced a massive evidence collection—interview transcripts with victims and witnesses and seized property, including more than 300 gigabytes of data and physical materials catalogued by the FBI.

There has been no evidence presented that Epstein ever worked for Israel, and no evidence that Israel has any involvement in the document release process.

Owens’ vilification of Israel comes after she alleged earlier this week that Mossad operatives, in coordination with French authorities, had been tasked with killing her.

In a post Saturday on X that has drawn more than 1.5 million views, Owens claimed she had notified federal officials and the White House, adding that she was prepared to provide “full details, as well as the name of the assassins and international accounts in France and Canada through which money was exchanged.”

Again, without providing any evidence, Owens said the warning came from a “high-ranking employee of the French Government,” who allegedly told her the plot had been assigned to a small unit inside the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN) and that its plans “were formalized.”
