Ayatollah Khamenei’s adviser executed for allegedly spying on behalf of Israel

 Iran reportedly arrested three Mossad agents accused of plotting to kill Iranian nuclear scientists.

Mohsen Saravani (24) an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was executed for allegedly spying for Israel.

Although the execution was last month, the news was reported on Monday by an opposition news network Iran International based in London.

The law student was accused of accessing sensitive documents and passing them on to the Mossad.

Saravani was previously arrested for stealing sensitive documents by the Revolutionary Guards Corps intelligence and was imprisoned for 45 days before he was released.

He was arrested in June and confessed to espionage under torture.

In addition, Iran reportedly arrested three Mossad agents accused of plotting to kill Iranian nuclear scientists.

From the age of 18, Saravani frequented government offices in Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan Province in southeastern Iran, and served as an adviser to regional governor Ali Abtaz Hashemi.

From this position, he developed connections with Danial Moehbi, the next governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, and Ali Asghar Mirshkar, a security and law enforcement officer in the region.

In his climb up the political ladder, Saravani was photographed with prominent people and introduced himself as an envoy of Mohammad Mariah, Zahedan’s public prosecutor.

Saravani secured a meeting with Lamandana Zangeneh Soroush, the former CEO of a local investment firm and claimed to be a government adviser.

Soroush granted Saravani a meeting because she was afraid of giving him offense when he said he was working for the government.

Saravani showed Saroush a letter with the governor’s seal and over the course of their meetings, Saroush provided him with a thousand confidential documents and permitting him to copy three of them.

When Saravani was accused of giving these sensitive documents over to Mossad agents, Saroush was also imprisoned, but her sentence was reduced from 8 years to one year probation after she proved that she had no idea that Saravani was impersonating a government adviser.
