Israel has reportedly delivered a stern warning to the Lebanese government through indirect diplomatic channels, signaling that civilian infrastructure across the country could become targets if Hezbollah joins a broader regional conflict.

According to the report, Israel conveyed that key national assets, including Beirut’s international airport, could face strikes in the event of direct intervention by the Iran-backed group.

The warning comes as fears grow that Lebanon could be pulled into a widening confrontation tied to escalating tensions between Israel, Iran, and the United States, with Iranian-aligned groups across the region increasingly signaling readiness for potential hostilities.

Against this backdrop, dozens of staff members were evacuated Monday from the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon via Beirut’s airport in what officials described as a precautionary measure. Lebanese broadcaster LBCI, citing informed sources, reported that the move was preventive and linked to expectations of possible regional developments in the coming days.

The evacuation reflects mounting concern among Western governments that instability along Israel’s northern front could rapidly intensify.

Hezbollah, widely regarded as Iran’s most powerful proxy force, maintains extensive military infrastructure near Israel’s border and has engaged in repeated cross-border exchanges since the outbreak of the Gaza war.

Over the weekend, Saudi outlet Al-Arabiya reported that officers from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had recently arrived in the country and begun assisting efforts to reorganize Hezbollah’s military capabilities while briefing fighters amid preparations for a potential wider conflict.
