Marjorie Taylor Greene accuses Trump of ‘serving Israel’s interests’

Far-right congresswoman says she is “tired” of resolutions against antisemitism, blasts fellow lawmakers who received donations from pro-Israel lobby.

Far-right Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene accused President Donald Trump of serving Israel’s interests, and expressed frustration with measures condemning antisemitism in a wide-ranging interview broadcast earlier this week.

On Monday, CBS‘ “60 Minutes” released a 14-minute interview with the controversial lawmaker, who recently announced that she will resign from Congress next month after clashing repeatedly with President Trump.

Greene, 51, once attached herself to Trump’s MAGA brand, aligning her three successful congressional campaigns with the president’s agenda.

After Trump returned to office in 2025, however, Greene repeatedly criticized the president while also clashing with the congressional Republican leadership.

In her interview with CBS, Greene explained her falling out with the president, accusing him of betraying his voters and turning his back on his own “America First” platform.

Trump, Greene claimed, is now under the sway of “neocons, big pharma, big tech, military industrial war complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor class.”

She accused him of working on behalf of Israel, and criticized his decision to carry out a brief air campaign against Iran’s nuclear facilities in June.

“He passed a crypto bill that helped out all the crypto donors. He has served Israel’s interest, even attacking Iran. He has served big pharma.”

“He didn’t take away the COVID vaccines that we want to see taken away. So, those are the areas that are still getting everything they want while we’re still out here saying we want to see action on areas for the American people, not for the major industries and the big donors.”

When asked about her refusal to vote in favor of the Antisemitism Awareness Act earlier this year, Greene said she was “tired” of denouncing antisemitism.

“Since I’ve been a member of Congress, we’ve had several resolutions that constantly denounce antisemitism. I’ve already voted denouncing antisemitism many times before. It becomes an exercise that they force on Congress, and I simply got tired of it.

“We don’t have to get on our knees and say it over and over again,” Greene continued, blasting her critics in Congress, accusing them of receiving money from pro-Israel lobby groups.

“Well, most members of Congress take donations from AIPAC, and I don’t,” Greene said when told most of her peers disagreed with her opposition to the Antisemitism Awareness Act.
