Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, hinted Monday that more countries are poised to normalize relations with Israel and join the Abraham Accords.

Speaking at a reception at the Israeli Embassy in Washington marking the 77th Israeli Independence Day, Witkoff urged Israelis to “choose unity over division,” while noting the toll which the ongoing war with Hamas has taken on Israeli society.

“Israel is an extraordinary nation from its founding. It has faced external threats with creativity, resilience and triumph, and [America] will always be [its] strongest ally. Yet, Israel’s strength lies in its unity,” Witkoff said.

“Over the past 20 months, countless Israelis have sacrificed so much. In their honor, I urge the Israeli people to choose unity over division, vision over disagreement and hope over despair. When you do, Israel’s future will shine brighter than ever.”

As an example of the positive news Israelis can look forward to, Witkoff hinted that additional countries are likely to join the Abraham Accords with Israel in the near future.

“Very soon, we expect to hear many announcements related to the expansion of the Abraham Accords.”

Turning to Iran, Witkoff vowed that under the Trump administration, “Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.”

The 68-year-old real estate mogul, who has led American efforts in recent weeks to negotiate a new nuclear deal with Iran, said he hopes the talks are “moving in the right direction.’

“The President has stated his desire to resolve this issue diplomatically if possible, and we are working toward an agreement. Efforts are now underway to coordinate a fourth round of talks.”
