“Those who threatened to destroy us are now fighting for their own survival,” Netanyahu said in a video statement.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel’s fight against Iran is not yet over, while emphasizing what he described as major achievements in the latest round of conflict.
He delivered the remarks in a recorded video message released Saturday evening.
“The battle against Iran is not over, but we can already say clearly — we have historic achievements,” Netanyahu said.
Standing in front of a map of the Middle East, Netanyahu pointed to Iran’s network of regional proxies encircling Israel. “They wanted to strangle us, and we are strangling them,” he said.
In a direct reference to Iran, Netanyahu added: “we hit them, we still have more to do.”
He argued that without Israel’s recent military campaigns — Operation Rising Lion in June 2025 and Operation Roaring Lion, which began in late February and concluded with a ceasefire in early April — Iran would “already have” a nuclear weapon.
Netanyahu highlighted the assassination of prominent Iranian nuclear scientists during the operations, as well as strikes on uranium enrichment facilities.
“Iran today has no active [nuclear] enrichment facility,” he asserted.
The prime minister said the Iranian regime has been significantly weakened by the conflict and is facing its lowest level of public support since the Iranian Revolution.
He also stressed Israel’s growing regional standing, pointing to close coordination with the United States during the operations.
“Iran is no longer the same Iran,” Netanyahu said. “And Israel is no longer the same Israel. Those who threatened to destroy us are now fighting for their own survival.”
He added that the regime had “begged” for a ceasefire and said Iran’s missile stockpiles — which he acknowledged still exist — are steadily being depleted.
On Sunday, talks between the United States and Iran aimed at securing a long-term ceasefire officially collapsed, raising the prospect of a return to fighting.
