Prince Charles to attend London event for Israel’s 70th anniversary

Celebrations for Israel’s 70th anniversary that will take place in London will honor Prince Charles.

The festivities will take place at the Royal Albert Hall and will provide a venue for a wide range of Israeli music forms.

One of the bands expected to perform is Balkan Beat Box.

Tamir Muscat, the band’s drummer said that “We are looking forward to premiering our new project,” according to a statement released by Balkan Beat Box.

In 1994, Prince Charles was in Israel for a Yad Vashem event honoring Princess Alice of Battenberg, who opened her home in Greece to Jews during the Second World War.

In 2016, Prince Charles was at Shimon Peres’s funeral.

These visits were billed as unofficial.

Prince Charles has a son named Prince William who will visit Israel in the summer. It will be the first time that a member of the royal family makes an official visit.

It is unclear whether Prince William will include the Mount of Olives, where an ancestor is buried, in his tour of the Holy Land. This could cause controversy as Palestinians claim this part of Jerusalem for their future state.

Since Israel’s establishment, the royalty in Britain has refrained from making official appearances in Israel.
