Texas Democrat calls for Zionists to be imprisoned in detention camps

The Texas congressional hopeful accused her opponent of taking “Israeli blood money.”

A Texas Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives pledged to repurpose a facility currently used to detain illegal immigrants into a prison for Zionists and former Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees.

Writing on her Instagram account, Maureen Galindo said she would transform the “Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking.”

She added that the site “will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists.”

Galindo is currently the leading Democratic candidate in Texas’ 35th Congressional District, ahead of fellow Democrat Johnny Garcia.

The two are slated to face off in a runoff election next Tuesday to determine who will ultimately become the Democratic nominee.

Galindo, a sex therapist by profession, has repeatedly promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories on her social media accounts.

She accused her rival, Garcia, of being funded by “Israeli blood money” and said he should be put on trial for treason.

She has also attacked “Jews who own Hollywood,” calling them members of the “Synagogue of Satan.” Galindo has been endorsed by Track AIPAC, an anti-Israel movement that supports candidates who refuse donations linked to pro-Israel lobbying groups.

Watchdog organization StopAntisemitism urged the Democratic Party to condemn Galindo over the remarks.

“The standard that Democrats rightly apply to right-wing antisemites must apply equally to left-wing Jew-haters,” StopAntisemitism said in a statement.

“They must decline to appear on platforms with Hasan Piker. They must stop winking at extremist voices and truly stand for the principles they claim to stand for.”

In a statement, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Suzan DelBene claimed that Galindo’s campaign had been boosted by Republican donors who allegedly sought to elevate her candidacy to damage the Democratic Party.
