Trump Jr. slams BBC for skewed report on Jerusalem attack

BBC falsely reported that Israeli soldiers killed three Palestinians, when in fact they were terrorists shot while committing an attack. Trump Jr. issued a sharp rebuttal.

Not for the first time, the BBC exposed its anti-Israel bias when it reported Friday night that Israeli security forces killed three Palestinians. In fact, they were shot while committing acts of terror.

“Three Palestinians killed after deadly stabbing in Jerusalem,” BBC tweeted.

There were two attacks. In the first, two terrorists shot at a police patrol at the Damascus Gate entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City and attempted to stab the officers. The assailants were shot dead by police.

In the second incident, a terrorist stabbed Staff Sergeant Hadas Malka, 23, as she and her patrol heard shooting and ran toward the scene of the first attack. Malka suffered critical injuries and was taken to Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital, where she died of her wounds. Here, too, police eliminated the terrorist.

BBC Report ‘as Misleading as Possible’

US President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., tweeted: “You mean after they stabbed a female Israeli police officer to death… right? This is as close to being misleading as possible.”

“Need a new term for this nonsense. Sort of the opposite of victim blaming. How about Culprit Coddling? Maybe Criminal Cozying? Thoughts???”

BBC’s tweet included a link to an article, titled, “Israeli policewoman stabbed to death in Jerusalem.” The original title, however,  focused on the Arabs’ deaths, and the report began by claiming that, “Israeli police have shot dead three Palestinians after a deadly knife attack outside the Old City of Jerusalem, in which a policewoman died.”

The Israeli embassy in London also lodged a complaint with BBC “for the false reports about the attack in Jerusalem and their refusal to use the words terror when it comes to attacks on Israeli citizens,” Israel’s Ynet News reported.

On Sunday, the BBC apologized for the incident, claiming in was a mistake which was subsequently corrected.

The BBC has been criticized on multiple occasions for its anti-Israel and even false reporting on events in Israel.
