Congresswoman (D-MI) Rashida Tlaib, a member of the far-left ‘Squad,’ was named Antisemite of the Year this week by the organization Stop Antisemitism.

Last year’s “winner” was Kanye West and for 2023, Tlaib managed to get the top rating beating out Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and supermodel Gigi Hadid.

In an X post, Stop Antisemitism acknowledged that Tlaib was presented with a “well-deserved dishonor” for her various offenses.

The congresswoman had already been notorious for her vocal and consistently negative criticism of Israel and its leaders, but her remarks and behavior following the Hamas massacre on October 7th, the most severe murder of Jews in a single day since the Holocaust, made her the most deserving recipient of the dishonor.

Tlaib blamed Israel for the October 7th atrocities committed by Hamas and early in the conflict accused Israel of genocide against Palestinians.

Before the events of October 7th, Tlaib voted against a bill that said Israel is not an apartheid state and refused to condemn antisemitism.

Tlaib falsely accused Israel of blowing up a hospital in Gaza, and even after it was proven the explosion was caused by Palestinian terrorists, the congresswoman refused to correct her statements after the fact.

On November 3rd, Rashida Tlaib called for an immediate ceasefire without any mention of returning hostages to Israel or condemning Hamas, and she accused President Biden of being complicit in “the genocide of the Palestinian people.”

She even doubled down on using the expression “From the River to the Sea” which calls for the destruction of Israel.

Tlaib posted on X, “From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate.”

In early November, both Democrats and Republicans voted for an official censure of Rashida Tlaib for her remarks, and she became only the 26th member of Congress to receive this demerit.
