A Palestinian terrorist stabbed and seriously wounded an Israeli woman in the Israeli community of Tekoa, just south of Jerusalem, on Monday.

The victim, Michal Fruman, in her 30s and pregnant, was evacuated with stab wounds to her upper body to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem.

She is the daughter-in-law of the late Rabbi Menachem Fruman, a well known activist who supported co-existence between Jews and Muslims and who believed that religion could serve as a bridge between the two peoples. His son Shivi, Michal’s husband, has carried on with his father’s legacy.

Doctors are battling to save her life and that of the fetus.

The terrorist was shot and wounded by an Israeli civilian. He was evacuated in critical condition to a hospital in Jerusalem.

According to the IDF, the attack occurred in a warehouse in the Tekoa industrial zone, inside the community.

The IDF Commander of the Gush Etzion Bloc, of which Tekoa is part of, ordered all Palestinian workers of of the Israeli communities after the attack.

This attack occurred as Dafna Meir, a mother of six, who was stabbed and murdered by a Palestinian terrorist at the entrance to her home in Otniel on Sunday, was being buried in Jerusalem.

The terrorist, who stabbed her to death in front of her children, is still at large and security forces are conducting a manhunt for him.

Commenting on Meir’s murder, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Monday that  “the abhorrent terrorist who murdered Dafna Meir, who – along with her husband – raised six children, will be caught.”

He offered his condolences to the family. “The entire Jewish People grieves with you. I spoke last night with Hebron Hills Regional Council Chairman Yohai Damari and I asked him to tell the residents to be strong. I told him that we would strengthen the communities. Whoever tries to harm us, we will bring him to justice. In the end he will be found and he will pay the full price.”

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of the past four months, claiming the lives of 28 victims and wounding over 280.
