He said he had been riding his bicycle toward the Jaffa Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City when he was attacked. The stab wound was only “a centimeter” away from his spinal cord, he says, adding that after he was attacked, the assailant ran in pursuit of his brother, but police then shot and killed the terrorist before the brother could be harmed.His father thanked the medical staff at Hadassah. He also thanked Israelis for their outpouring of support and prayers for Yisrael Meir’s well-being.
