A Palestinian terrorist stabbed and wounded an IDF officer in attack which occurred in the Shechem (Nablus) environs on Thursday.

The IDF said in a statement that an IDF unit on patrol encountered the terrorist who threw a bottle at the vehicle they were riding in. When they disembarked to confront him, he drew a knife and stabbed an officer in his hand.

The terrorist was shot and killed.

The soldier was treated for his light wounds.

This was not the first terror incident of the day.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab IDF soldiers at a security checkpoint at the Beit Anun Junction in the Hebron area.

He was shot and killed by the troops during the attempted attack.

No Israelis were harmed in the attack.

These incidents were the latest in a long series of almost daily Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of the past three-and-a-half months, claiming the lives of 27 victims and wounding over 280.
