A Palestinian stabbed and seriously wounded three people after entering a house in the community of Adam, some five kilometers northeast of Jerusalem. According to initial reports, the Palestinian terrorist was shot dead by armed residents who rushed to the scene after hearing screams.

An IDF spokesman said three people were hurt in the incident.

A spokesperson for the United Hatzalah ambulance service said one victim in his fifties is in critical condition and undergoing CPR on his way to hospital, while another in his thirties is in serious but stable condition. Both victims suffered stab wounds to their upper bodies.

A third was lightly injured and is being treated at the scene.

The IDF confirmed that the terrorist had been shot dead by a resident of Adam.

The dead terrorist was identified as Mohammed Tarik Youssef, 17, from the Palestinian village of Kobar near Ramallah. On July 21, 2017, a Palestinian terrorist from Kobar stabbed three members of the Salomon family to death in the nearby Jewish community of Neve Tzuf.

A Binyamin Regional Council spokesman announced that the terrorist scaled the town’s security fence, committing the attack on a road near the community’s entrance, according to an MDA medic who spoke with Times of Israel.

Hamas welcomed the attack, with a spokesman for the terrorist group calling it a “natural reaction to the crimes of the occupation.”

According to Ynet, several residents claimed to see a suspicious vehicle exiting the town following the attack.

The Binyamin Regional Council hotline instructed residents of the area to lock all doors and windows and remain in their homes as the authorities searched for any additional assailants.

The attack comes amid escalating tension in the south between Hamas terrorists and the IDF, with Palestinians continuing to launch daily arson attacks on communities that border the coastal enclave.

While the Palestinians’ latest weapons of choice in Gaza are incendiary devices attached to balloons and kites, Palestinian terorists in Samaria continue to resort to stabbing attacks, vehicle stoning, and shooting attempts on Israeli civilians.
