A female terrorist was critically wounded when Israeli Border Police opened fire after she attempted to stab one of them with a knife on Wednesday morning in the city of Hebron near the Cave of the Patriarchs.

Israeli media report that the terrorist was shot in the chest at close range.

The attack follows one on Monday in Jerusalem near Herod’s Gate when a 16-year-old terrorist attempted to stab Israeli policemen. He was shot and tracked down to a house where he was hiding.

The police arrested him, the homeowner and another individual who they believed was assisting the attacker.

On August 15, an Israeli police officer was injured in a stabbing attack by two terrorists in Jerusalem’s Old City. Israeli police shot one terrorist dead and wounded the other.

On May 31, two Israelis were wounded by an Arab attacker who stabbed them as they walked near Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City.

One of the wounded, 16-year-old Yisrael Meir Nachumberg, was very lucky. The stab wound was only “a centimeter” away from his spinal cord.

Police shot and killed the terrorist in that instance.
