Bereaved widower of terror victim engaged

Natan Meir, bereaved widower of terror victim Daphna Meir, is engaged approximately two months after his daughter’s marriage proposal. 

Natan Meir, the bereaved widower of terror victim Daphna Meir, is engaged to his girlfriend, Zohar Morgenstern.

“Between the paths of life, we ​​found what our souls were seeking, and on this day we are happy to announce our engagement,” the couple said in a statement.

Daphna Meir was fatally stabbed in January of 2016 in her Otniel home by a Palestinian terrorist. The terrorist was arrested and sentenced to life in prison.

“It’s very exciting,” Natan remarked to Ynet. “The feelings are exciting, but it’s hard to add any words.”

Natan broke the news on his Facebook account. “I am entering a marital commitment with my beloved Zohar,” he wrote. “I want to embrace, most of all, my children who have supported me and made me happy, despite everything,” Natan added.  “Without your positive spirit, I would not have been able to open up my heart to love again.”

Almost two months ago, Renana Meir, daughter of Natan and Daphna Meir, became engaged, one year after her mother’s murder.
