Israel demolishes home of terrorist

Fighting its relentless war on Palestinian terrorism, IDF forces destroyed the home of a Palestinian terrorist who assisted in the murder of an Israeli policewoman.

Israeli forces early Monday morning demolished the home of a Palestinian terrorist who assisted a terrorist attack at Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate in February in which Border Policewoman Hadar Cohen was murdered and another was wounded.

The IDF said in a statement that, acting in accordance with directives by the government, it destroyed the home of Bilal Abu Zaid in Kabatiya, near Jenin.

Zaid supplied a gun used in the attack and drove the terrorists to the scene of the attack. He is currently standing trial in an Israeli court for his part in the attack.

Palestinians rioted during the IDF operation. The IDF reported that they threw improvised explosive devices and shot at the forces. The IDF responded with fire, hitting three terrorists.

In April, Israeli forces demolished the homes of the three Palestinian terrorists who carried out the attack.

The three committed a shooting and stabbing terrorist attack at the Damascus Gate at the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City on February 3, during which border policewoman Hadar Cohen, 19, was murdered and another policewoman was wounded.

The demolition of terrorists’ homes are meant to serve as deterrence for potential terrorists who are plotting future attacks and are part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plans to contend with the recent wave of Palestinian terror attacks, which has claimed the lives of 39 victims in the past 10 months.
