Israeli security forces exposed six pipe bombs hidden in a car driven by an Israeli Arab on Sunday night.The suspect, on his way back from the Samaria region, was stopped at a security checkpoint for a routine check, during which the explosives were discovered.The forces shut down route 5, a main highway where the checkpoint is situated, and alerted a sapper to the scene. He safely removed the explosive devices. The route was subsequently reopened.The driver, said to be a Bedouin from the southern city of Rahat, was detained and taken for questioning. In related news, IDF forces working with the Shin Bet (Israel’s Security Agency) operated against Palestinian weapons-productions plants in the Samaria area.The IDF stated that the forces confiscated several munitions-production machines. Bourhan Rashid Kanasa, a member of the Palestinian Authority security forces, was also arrested.
