Palestinian terrorist killed while attempting to stab IDF soldiers

Israeli security forces eliminated a Palestinian terrorist who attacked them during an operation.

A Palestinian terrorist was shot and killed by IDF forces on Thursday in Gush Etzion as he attempted to stab them.

The troops, who were operating in the Palestinian village of Takua, were attacked by the knife-wielding Palestinian. They responded to the threat by shooting the terrorist dead.

No Israelis were wounded in the incident.

Palestinian sources named the terrorist as Mohamed Hussien Tanuh, 20.

Palestinians rioted at the spot of the incident after the attack, causing damage to Israeli vehicles passing near and subsequently forcing the police to shut down the route.

This attack comes just two days after a terrorist rammed his car into two IDF soldiers who were manning a checkpoint near the Palestinian town of Beit Anoun, in the Hebron area.

The two soldiers were lightly wounded, while the terrorist was shot dead.

In related news, IDF forces carrying out counter-terrorism operations throughout Judea and Samaria on Wednesday night arrested 12 Palestinians wanted for terrorism, five of them members of the Hamas terror organization.

These incidents are the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks over  the past two years, claiming the lives of 52 victims and wounding close to 700.
