Israel has denied entry to a notorious American-Jewish pro-Palestinian activist over her support for boycotts against the Jewish state.

Ariel Gold of the radical Code Pink movement and a supporter of the anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) was denied entry into Israel upon her arrival at Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday night.

Gold was attempting to enter the country to study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During her previous visit to Israel, she was informed upon departure that future visits would be possible only if she received prior permission.

“The policy I have set is clear: anyone who acts consistently to boycott Israel – will not enter the country. The rules have changed and the State of Israel will not hold back anymore against those who try to harm it,” stated Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan

Minister of Interior Aryeh Deri said he was using his “authority to prevent the entry into Israel of a woman who came to act against Israel and call for its boycott.”

“The fact that this is a Jew who tried to exploit her birthright is all the more harmful to the country,” he added. “Those activists must understand that the rules of the game have changed and we will no longer admit people into the country who aim to harm the state and its residents.”

In 2016, Israel’s government established an inter-ministerial team tasked with tracking down and deporting anti-Israel activists who come to the Jewish state for the purpose of harming the country. The team also works to prevent the future entry of activists who operate for or support BDS.

Dozens of organizations, operating under various covers, operate in Israel to collect information related to the BDS movement that could be used against Israel. The activists and anarchists also arrive in Judea and Samaria and incite the local Arabs to act violently against the IDF.
