The record prior to her win was set by Russian gymnast Dina Averina at the 2018 European Championships, who scored 20.05 at the time.On Sunday, she took another gold medal, also in the clubs exercise category, finishing first with 20.25 points.In second place was Russian Aleksandra Soldatova, who finished with 19.6 points. Belarusian Anastasia Slos was third with 19.35.Ashram also won a bronze medal in the ball exercise with a score of 19.65 points.On Saturday, the Israeli Olympic Committee noted that Ashram is the first person in the history of the Challenge Cup to win two gold medals in one season, after she won a gold in the competition in Spain in May.Ashram’s feat comes a little over two weeks after the Israeli men’s gymnastic team captured the gold at the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championship.The Israeli team defeated both the Russian and Chinese squads, beating teams from nations whose populations dwarf that of the Jewish state.
