A Palestinian terrorist stabbed and seriously wounded an IDF soldier Wednesday at the Al-Fawar junction south of Hebron.
IDF soldiers were manning a security checkpoint when the terrorist exited his car and stabbed the soldier in his neck.

The terrorist was shot dead by security forces .

The victim, 20, was treated by Israeli medics on site and evacuated to Shaare Zedek hospital in Jerusalem while fully conscious with stab wounds to his upper body.

Earlier in the day, a Palestinian sniper fired at Israelis at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. No one was injured in the attack.
Shots were heard in the vicinity of the holy site, and only later on did an Israeli approach his car to find one of its windows shot out.

Security forces have opened an investigation into the incident and combed nearby Palestinian neighborhoods for possible suspects.

This was the third shooting attack in less than 24 hours in Israel. There were two shooting attacks on Tuesday night, one close to Beit-El and the another near the Israeli community of Ofra. No one was injured in the attacks, but a car was struck by bullets in one of the incidents.
