2 Palestinians killed while attacking Israeli forces

Israeli forces shot and killed two Palestinian terrorists who attempted to stab them at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Monday.

A Border Policeman sustained light wounds to his hand after two Palestinian terrorists attacked him and other members of his unit.

The Hebron area has been the scene of several Palestinian attacks in recent days.

A few hours earlier, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed and wounded two police officers at Herod’s Gate at the entrance to Jerusalem’s Old City. One police officer sustained moderate wounds, while the second victim, a mother of two, remains in critical condition.

The terrorist was shot and is in critical condition.

This was the eighth Palestinian terror attack since Friday, more than all the Palestinian attacks committed throughout August. Security officials estimate that the new outbreak of violence is the result of incitement and hate the terrorists were exposed to during the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha last week.

This incident was the latest in a long series of Palestinian terror attacks, which have plagued Israelis over the course of almost a year, claiming the lives of 39 victims and wounding over 550.
