President Donald Trump lambasted Minnesota Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, calling the far-left lawmaker “garbage” while lamenting Somali immigration to the United States.

Trump took aim at Minnesota Democratic leaders, including Omar, during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the latest in a string of comments by the president in a long-running feud with the congresswoman.

Responding to questions from reporters during the meeting, Trump blasted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, calling him “grossly incompetent” and accusing him of failing to rein in crime by Somali immigrants in his state.

“Walz is a grossly incompetent man. There’s something wrong with him,” Trump said. “When you look at what he’s done with Somalia, which is barely a country. They have no anything. They just run around killing each other.”

The president then lashed out at Omar, a Somali refugee who was naturalized in the US in 2000 after fleeing the civil war in her home country.

Referencing her previous scandals involving antisemitic canards and harsh criticism of Israel, Trump accused Omar of antisemitism and antipathy toward the US and the Constitution.

“For years, I’ve watched her complain about our Constitution, how she’s being treated badly. Our Constitution, the United States of America is a bad place. It hates everybody, hates Jewish people, hates everybody.”

Trump went on to call Omar “an incompetent person” and “a real terrible person” before describing her as “garbage” and criticizing immigration from Somalia.

“We could go one way or the other, and we’re going to go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into our country. Ilhan Omar is garbage. She’s garbage. Her friends are garbage. These aren’t people who work. These aren’t people who say, ‘Let’s go, come on, let’s make this place great.'”

“These are people that do nothing but complain,” Trump continued. “When they come from hell, and they complain and do nothing but bitch, we don’t want them in our country. Let them go back to where they came from and fix it.”

“Their country stinks, and we don’t want them in our country. I can say that about other countries too.”

Hours later, Omar fired back on social media, accusing the president of having a “creepy” obsession with her.

“I hope he gets the help he desperately needs,” she wrote on X.
