Speaking at a celebratory gala ahead of the US’ embassy move to Jerusalem on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged the 32 foreign ambassadors in attendance to move their embassies to Jerusalem.

“It is the right thing to do,” said Netanyahu, “it advances peace.”

A total of 32 out the 86 foreign ambassadors in Israel attended the Gala, with most of the European Union opting not to attend, as well as the representatives from Russia, Egypt, India and Japan.

Netanyahu also discussed Israel’s Saturday night victory in the Eurovision song competition in Lisbon, taking the opportunity to call out BDS advocates who called for Israel not to be allowed to compete in the competition.

“Those who did not want Jerusalem in the Eurovision, will get the Eurovision in Jerusalem,” Netanyahu proclaimed.

Earlier on Sunday, Netanyahu met with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner who arrived to attend the Gala and the embassy opening ceremony.
