Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his call on Sunday for foreign embassies in Israel to be moved to the capital of Jerusalem after speculation mounted that he himself was behind the delay of US President Donald Trump’s plan to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.“I would like to take this opportunity to make it unequivocally clear that our position has always been, and will always be, that the US embassy needs to be here, in Jerusalem,” Netanyahu said at his weekly cabinet meeting.“Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and it is proper that not only should the American embassy be here, but all embassies should come here, and I believe that over time most of them will indeed come here, to Jerusalem.”Marc Zell, director of Republicans Overseas Israel, suggested earlier that Netanyahu has yet to give to the go-ahead to the Trump Administration to move the embassy.“The minute Jerusalem gives the green light, the embassy will definitely be moved to Jerusalem,” Zell told Israel Army Radio on Sunday morning.By: Jonathan Benedek, World Israel News JerusalemMarc ZellNetanyahuUS embassy
