FBI hunts senior Quds Force operative accused of running global assassination network

Mossad previously identified “Sardar Ammar” as a senior Quds Force commander tied to plots against Jewish and Israeli targets in multiple countries.

U.S. federal authorities are asking the public for information on Saeed Tavakoli, an Iranian national the FBI lists as “wanted for questioning” over alleged ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The FBI describes Tavakoli (alias: “Sardar Ammar”) as the alleged chief of IRGC-Qods Force “Department 11000,” accusing him of directing covert intelligence and lethal operations targeting dissidents, journalists, Israeli citizens, and current/former U.S. government officials in Europe and the United States.

It also alleges he oversaw a network linked to attempted attacks in Australia, Greece, Germany, and Mexico—another snapshot of Tehran’s playbook: export terror abroad while trying to keep fingerprints off the trigger.

For Israel, the overlap is glaring: Mossad previously identified “Sardar Ammar” as a senior Quds Force commander tied to plots against Jewish and Israeli targets in multiple countries, reinforcing that this is a global threat pipeline, not isolated chatter.
