Trump warns Iran: ‘We’ll finish the job’ as US launches new strikes

The US military launched fresh strikes against Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz as tensions with Tehran exploded again, with President Donald Trump warning that Washington may “finish the job” if negotiations fail.

American forces reportedly destroyed four Iranian attack drones and struck a military control station in Bandar Abbas that was preparing to launch another drone toward the strategic waterway. The strikes came after Iran allegedly targeted commercial ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil routes, while Kuwait said it was actively intercepting missile and drone attacks.

At the same time, Trump signaled growing frustration with stalled ceasefire talks, saying the US was “not satisfied” with Iran’s response despite earlier claims that a deal was close. He also increased pressure on Gulf states by suggesting future agreements with Tehran could depend on countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar joining the Abraham Accords and normalizing ties with Israel.

Overnight, Kuwait announced it was responding to missile and drone attacks, fueling fears that the confrontation with the Iran regime is rapidly spilling across the region despite efforts to preserve the fragile ceasefire.
