Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned Israel against escalation into full war with Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, and threatened such a scenario would spell “Netanyahu’s last day.”

Speaking at a press conference with Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib in Beirut, Iran’s FM claimed that his country has been in constant communication with the United States since the beginning of the war.  At this point, he believes that a political solution is the only way to resolve the war between Hamas and Israel.

“Iran and Lebanon confirm that war is not the solution and that we absolutely never sought to expand it,” Amir-Abdollahian said.

In addition, he said Iran was in talks with Saudi Arabia to find a diplomatic solution for the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

Regarding the United States, the Iranian FM said that the Biden Administration warned that Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy, not get too “widely and fully involved in this war against Israel.”

Since the immediate aftermath of October 7th, Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel’s northern border on almost a daily basis and Israel has responded with counter strikes.

Iran doesn’t diplomatically recognize Israel and has made calls for its destruction as well as welcoming the news of  Hamas’s October 7th massacre that left 1,200 Israelis dead and 250 taken to Gaza as hostages.

Iran’s role in the conflict was becoming more apparent as the US struck Iranian terror targets in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen to respond to Iran’s IRGC terror group that killed 3 US servicemen on a base in Jordan.

Iran is seen as a puppet master funding and directing policy of major terror groups, such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis whose entire purpose is to attack Israel and the US.

Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s envoy to the United Nations, spoke with NBC News regarding Tehran’s relationship with terrorist groups across the Middle East, including the Yemenite Houthis and the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad groups in the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria.

Regarding Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Iravani admitted that Iran does provide the terror groups with weapons, but denied Iran was behind the October 7th invasion of Israel and subsequent massacres.
