WATCH: Bulgarian Jews trace history back to antiquity

In March, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev was the first foreign head of state to visit Israel’s computer emergency response team in Be’er Sheva. He praised Israel as “an example of a model state” and said that Israel and Bulgaria, which currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, “now enjoy better relations than ever.”

A proud Jewish community still exists in the southeastern European country, tracing its history back to antiquity.
