WATCH: Turkey is united, Erdogan says

After quelling the attempted coup that claimed 250 lives and wounded over 1,400, authoritarian Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed supporters on Saturday, claiming that the country is united. “No attempts will ever be successful at dividing us,” he stated. “We will win this struggle.”

“The United States of America must hand over that individual that is hiding in Pennsylvania,” he demanded, referring to Fethullah Gulen, known to be a moderate cleric who is now based in the U.S. Gulen has denied involvement in the coup.
