World’s ‘smartest man’ pushes antisemitic conspiracy theories in online screed

American man once listed by the Guinness World Records as having the highest tested IQ in the world accuses “Zionists” of promoting “white genocide,” denounces “garish” Chanukah menorahs, and claims Israel has no ties to the biblical nation of the same name.

A Missouri horse rancher frequently billed as the world’s smartest man launched into an antisemitic, conspiracy theory-laden screed last week, denouncing “Christian Zionism” and accusing “Zionists” of pursuing the annihilation of the white race and the mass sacrifice of Christians.

On Thursday, Christopher Langan penned a lengthy post to his X account accusing Zionists of running a global conspiracy to use their alleged control of banking systems to promote “white genocide” and the “sacrifice” of Christians.

In response to the question “Who are the banksters?” that he references in other posts, Langan wrote that the term refers to “Zionist banks” enjoying a “global money monopoly,” starting with the supposed “global usury” of “Nathan Rothschild” to dominate the economies of Europe in the 19th century.

“These people,” Langan wrote, used and are continuing to use their influence to wage war on Christianity and the white race.

Echoing comments late last year by far-right podcaster Tucker Carlson, Langan denounced Christian Zionism as “an oxymoron.”

Zionist bankers, he continued, “have undeniably been responsible for developing and promulgating Zionism and World Communism… while eroding traditional Western culture and especially Christianity, which they have now thoroughly subverted and oxymoronically transformed into ‘Christian Zionism’ (this is an oxymoron because Christianity and Zionism have not been properly reconciled and cannot agree on a common metaphysical framework in which reconciliation is possible).”

Langan argued that contemporary Jews have no “historical continuity” with the ancient Israelites and falsely claimed that the modern State of Israel “officially identifies itself with Ashkenazi Jews from Western Asia and Eastern Europe.”

The State of Israel is officially defined as a Jewish state, with no reference to Ashkenazi Jews in particular. Ashkenazi Jews are the descendants of medieval Jewish communities formed in Europe and not in Western Asia.

Israel, Langan continued, uses its nuclear arsenal for global blackmail.

“That’s how tiny newcomer Israel obtained its own seat in the Ashkenazi global government – the so-called ‘UN’, another Rothschild creation – and became a national facade for the Central Bankers.”

“It gives them sovereign nation status, an exigent political constituency that obediently bobs up and down on command like a synchronized yoyo team, a ready supply of human shields for geopolitical exploitation, and a nuclear stockpile for destroying the world should Israel’s ‘right to exist’ ever be threatened.”

“Zionist bankers” have promoted mass migration to Western countries, Langan wrote, while pushing down white fertility rates as part of a larger plot of “white genocide” and the destruction of Christianity.

“Ziobanksters… have insuperable moral, logical, economic, and scientific arguments to justify White Genocide.”

“They simply hate White people and want the world all to themselves, as we are constantly reminded by their more outspoken frontmen and more hateful members of the rabbinate.”

“The mere sight of a Christian cross prompts them to scream about the separation of church and state even as they erect garishly lit menorahs on the White House lawn and do everything in their power to sacrifice Christianity and the descendants of its followers to the undying hatred that burns in their overfed bellies.”

This is not the first time Langan has promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories or drawn criticism for fringe white nationalist views.

In the past, Langan has criticized relationships between whites and non-whites, claimed the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated by the United States, frequently used anti-Jewish dog whistles, and suggested sub-Saharan Africans are less intelligent than gorillas.

For years, Langan was listed by the Guinness World Records under the listing for “Highest IQ,” alongside Marilyn vos Savant and Keith Raniere, citing their high scores in the 1980s on the “Mega Test” put together by Ronald Hoeflin and his Hoeflin Research Group.

Langan had the highest score of the three, answering 47 of the test’s 48 questions correctly, compared to 46 for Raniere and vos Savant.

However, the validity of the test as well as Langan’s score have been repeatedly called into question.

Despite the design of the test, which was meant to be taken only a single time, Langan’s score of 47 was achieved only after taking the test twice.

The Mega Test itself is largely viewed by mainstream psychometricians as scientifically invalid due to its bias toward puzzle-solving – ignoring other areas of intelligence – its lack of reproducibility in assessing IQ scores, and the fact that it is a self-administered test based entirely on the honor system and mailed in by the subjects themselves.

Due to questions regarding the test and the broader difficulty in assessing IQs far outside of the normal range, in 1990 the Guinness World Records dropped the listing.

Since then, however, Langan has appeared periodically in interviews where he is often billed as the world’s most intelligent person, possessing an IQ listed as 200 to 210.
