Corbyn also castigated what he referred to as “the illegal occupation and settlement of Palestinian land” referring to “multiple human rights abuses faced by Palestinians on a daily basis.” He vowed that “a Labour government will recognize a Palestinian state.” The U.K. Labour Party and Corbyn individually have faced persistent accusations of rampant anti-Semitism within the party and personal animus directed at Jews. Most recently, it came to light that Corbyn wrote the forward to the latest edition of a book called “Imperialism: A Study” by J. A. Hobson, a viciously anti-Semitic work that blames Jewish “financiers” for many of the world’s problems. The march in London endorsed by Corbyn was led by Ahed Tamimi, who was jailed for assaulting an Israeli soldier. Tamimi and her family have a long history of attempting to provoke Israeli security forces into filmed confrontations, which they use for anti-Israel propaganda. Jeremy Corbyn
