An Arab terrorist stabbed and lightly wounded a 15-year-old girl in Jerusalem Monday afternoon. After being treated by Magen David Adom paramedics, she was transported to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital together with a 29-year-old who suffered shock.

The attack occurred after the terrorist unsuccessfully tried stabbing police officers stationed on Bar-Lev Boulevard, outside National Police Headquarters in the northeast part of the capital. He had aroused the suspicion of the officers, who went over to question him, after which the terrorist pulled out a knife. He fled and continued to attack civilians until stopped and disarmed.

The assailant is a 17-year-old resident of Jerusalem.

Earlier in the day, police thwarted two more attempted stabbings – one at a central junction in Samaria, and the other in Jerusalem’s Old City.
