Border police prevent terror attack in Jerusalem’s Old City

Border Police neutralized a Jordanian terrorist, preventing him from stabbing a female IDF officer in Jerusalem’s Old City.

No Israelis were injured in an attempted terror attack mid-day Friday by a Jordanian national in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Border police shot the assailant, who appeared to be in his 20s, before he could manage to stab a female IDF officer.

His condition was not immediately clear, but latest reports indicate that he died of his wounds.

The incident took place at Damascus Gate, the site of numerous stabbings over the past year, during the socalled “Knife Intifada.”

The current wave of terror began exactly a year ago, on the eve of the Jewish New Year, following incitement by the Palestinian leadership.
