(Ariel Schalit/AP)(Ariel Schalit/AP)Druze mayor kills man in self defense Tweet WhatsApp Email https://worldisraelnews.com/druze-mayor-kills-man-in-self-defense/ Email Print Sliman Amar, the mayor of Julis, a Druze town in northern Israel, is suspected of shooting and killing a man who attempted to assault him on Monday.According to an initial reports, Amar, the regional council head, shot the man who physically assaulted him and attacked him with a sharp object outside the town hall.The shooting appears to be an act of self-defense.Witnesses say the victim, a contractor in his 50s, was arguing with Amar about work related issues, and that the two had argued in the past.
