Israeli security forces last week arrested a Palestinian terrorist who committed a stabbing attack   and has since been harbored for two years by the Palestinian security forces. According to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency),  Bara’a Issi, stabbed and moderately wounded Shmuel Raisman, 29, outside the Shaar Benyamin mall in November 2015.

Bara’a was arrested in the Palestinian village of Anata, outside Jerusalem, last Tuesday.

Bara’a’s accomplice, Amru Abu Halil, was arrested in May 2017 after he, too, was discovered hiding with the Palestinian security services. Halil is being tried in an Israeli military court on the charge of  attempted murder.

“The Shin Bet security services, along with its partners in the IDF and Israel Police, will continue to work with determination in order to capture terrorist operatives and assailants who flee from security forces — even if years pass from the time of the attack,” the Shin Bet said in a statement.
